Reviews
At first when I look at Rob's work I'm hit with a feeling of unknowing... I cannot grasp what I see. But then something happens: My mind drops away and I see! This is a rare experience indeed, and Rob has handed it to me with a smile.

Reviews of Into the Mystery
This is no ordinary guide to successful landscape photography, but a deeper treatise into the psychology of connecting with and capturing nature with a camera. After a brief first perusal of his book, I understood that the author is a highly accomplished photographer. His pictures exude mood and atmosphere in both landscapes and more abstract insights into colours, patterns, shapes and content. The book is a rare invitation to witness the vision and magic of our natural world. It would be a beautiful present for anyone who understands that our mental and spiritual well-being depends upon connecting with nature through our senses rather than through the often judgmental mind. This book helps the photographer let go of preconceptions and see with the freshness of a child, helped by an adult’s technical expertise.

Bio
Rob Beighton, a lifelong mountaineer and rockclimber with a passion for nature, grew up in the shadow of the Peak District National Park in Northern England. His eye for detail and his sensitivity to the energy in nature allows him to create images of great power and beauty from insignificant events. A talent for combining sequences of images with music was rewarded by long-term sponsorship from Leica Camera, and with the award of Associateship of the Royal Photographic Society, ARPS, for his innovative work.
Rob says...
"My life has been a passionate immersion in the Dance of Reality. which has involved treading paths beyond the normal assumptions and roles. Mountains and nature, with all that can take place in that arena, have consumed me since I was a child; the beauty of form and flower, climbing on rock and snow, exulting in the art of physicality and expressing that poetry in still and moving image through books and film, living a life of respect at a simple level, savouring simple moments. I share that journey of the spirit with you in the flow of images which unfolds in the pages of 'Into the Mystery'."
